Privacy notice
What we collect when you send an enquiry, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are
The data controller is PROLINE (SALES) LIMITED, registered in England and Wales, company number 03753659, trading as Proline Architectural Ironmongers. You can contact us about anything on this page at sales@prolinesales.co.uk or on 020 8500 2500.
What we collect, and why
If you send an enquiry through this website, we collect the name, company, email address and telephone number you give us, together with the project information and any files or links you attach. We use it to answer your enquiry, to prepare a schedule or a quotation, and to supply goods if you go on to order them.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely responding to an enquiry you have chosen to send us, and where you place an order, performance of a contract.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or social media tracking. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. Nothing on this site profiles you or follows you to another site.
Who else sees it
Enquiry data is handled by us. It reaches us through our hosting and email providers, who process it on our instructions only. Where a project requires it, we may share the technical content of an enquiry with a manufacturer in order to obtain a price or confirm a technical point. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for two years and then deleted. Records relating to an order, a schedule or a supply are kept for seven years, because they form part of our accounting records and because an ironmongery schedule is a construction document that may need to be produced long after the job finishes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, and object to our using it. Write to sales@prolinesales.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
